As a Sr. Manager, Instructional Design you will lead our learning experience and technology infrastructure ensuring that we continue to evolve our tools & content to stay ahead of learning trends. As a leader on the team you will help coach our coordinator, creative designers, and agency partners. You will apply adult learning theory to instructional design, collaborate with your learning design project members, and project manage the design and development process for critical Roundel learning experiences. A Sr. Manager, Instructional Design will conduct needs assessments to identify and select the appropriate learning solution. You will design the instructional material, curriculum, program, or learning solution that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners or groups of learners. Ultimately you will assess whether the learning design solution produces positive results, such as a change in learner skill, knowledge, and/or behavior. About You: • 8 years of proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology, preferably in a corporate environment • Earned a four-year bachelor degree or higher preferably specialized in Instructional Design, Education, or Computer Science or equivalent work experience • Excellent knowledge of Instructional Design learning theories (ADDIE, Kirkpatrick, etc.) and processes & instructional design models • Compelling portfolio of past curriculum, course, and lesson examples • Strong content development skills and the ability to assess and create content that makes complex topics easy to digest for learners • Experience writing project briefs to kick-off work to agency & worked with 3rd party technology partners to integrate learning solutions into broader LMS • Efficient in HTML and CSS • Learning Management System expert with experience w/ SCORM, xAPI, etc. • Extensive experience w/ course development software specifically Elucidat (or Captivate, Storyline) Visual design skills specifically in Illustrator (or Dreamweaver, Photoshop) and ability to storyboard • Experience integrating technology to achieve learning goals: leveraged emerging technologies (such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Mobile) Job Duties: • Create & maintain learning systems architecture and configuration • Coach coordinator, Creative Designers, & Agency Partners • Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design • Design engaging learning activities and compelling course content for complex topics • Set broad instructional design goals and create a full learning experience that matches the objectives • Write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product • Develop exercises and activities that enhance the learning process • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.) • Devise modes of assessment to measure the effectiveness of the course This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target’s needs.  A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that’s not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target. The salary range is :$87,900.00 USD - $158,200.00 USD.
