Job Title: Instructional Designer III Location: Remote... Duration: 11 months contract Job Description: • We're looking for someone to join our security team who is a strong writer with a passion for clarity and helping technical audiences learn. Ideally, you have experience designing and building online job aids and references for technical audiences, and writing materials that support classroom training events or content for e-learning solutions. • Team improves security outcomes by empowering builder teams to be security owners throughout the software development lifecycle. We build security mechanisms, drive knowledge-scaling initiatives, and connect security-minded builders through communities to enable teams to launch new software, on schedule, with an appropriately high security bar. Responsibilities: • Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts to define learning objectives. • Perform needs analysis and evaluate existing documentation to identify the most appropriate training approach and content to meet the demands of the learning objectives and audience. • Plan and write content for training programs using instructional and distribution methods (online, classroom or blended) that best suit the content. • Develop eLearning, video, instructor led content, virtual classroom design, tool kits, study guides, and support aids. • Create engaging and valid trainee evaluation tools that prove successful knowledge transfer. • Build processes and templates to minimize the development time for new training materials, and to help others participate in our development cycle. • Help maintain existing programs to ensure the content remains complete and relevant. Experience: • 7+ years of instructional design, technical training, or training others in role. • 7+ years of application of adult learning theories and UI/UX design best practices and/or security subject matter expertise. • 3+ years’ experience ADDIE, RISE, SAM or other course development models. • Experience designing, writing content, and evaluating eLearning, job aids, video, or webinars.
