Job Title: Learning Designer - Off the Shelf Reporting to: Learning Design Team Lead Job Purpose: The Learning Designer will design mobile responsive versions of our off-the-shelf course library and help Kallidus ensure our top-rated compliance, health and safety and business skill training is always up to date. They will also research and design new, cutting-edge courses for the library to excite our customers, embed behaviour change and support high levels of learning retention. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: • Completing the learning design of all the projects that you are assigned. • Outlining/Storyboarding projects to ensure that: • Learning objectives are met. • The learning is engaging to the audience. • Complex topics are communicated in the most effective way. • Creating scripts for course modules and any associated videos • Communicating and collaborating with subject matter experts, developers, artists, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure the... vision, objectives and end-product expectations are met. • Supporting other colleagues on specific projects where required • Ensuring that quality standards are maintained. • Clarifying that agreed learning objectives are met in each course you create. Key Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours: • Experienced instructional designer and knowledgeable about adult learning theories and principles. • Excellent writing skills, with attention to detail • First class listening and questioning skills to enable effective consultation with Subject Matter Experts • The ability to engage quickly with complex and unfamiliar subject matter. • Enthusiasm for and knowledge of a broad range of learning technologies, design and development approaches • Commercial awareness, including experience creating content within budget that is fit for purpose • Good communication and influencing skills • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders and lead briefing meetings as required • Natural team player, who can work to tight deadlines • English Language degree or equivalent • Experience designing generic off-the-shelf content would be advantageous.
