The Global Learning and Development organization is seeking a dynamic and creative Instructional Designer to join our team. The duties and responsibilities of this position include designing highly interactive and task-based customer and technical training programs using multiple media and blended approaches (eLearning, virtual instructor-led training, job aids, animated videos.) The candidate will follow defined Instructional Design (ID) processes including, but not limited to: • Develop learning objectives that align with strategic priorities; • Build collaborative and consultative relationships with subject matter experts, clients, and peers; • Participate in defining and documenting learning needs assessment, data analysis, and recommended learning strategies; • Use raw content provided by subject matter experts to write scripts, storyboards, and design documents; • Create assessments that align to course objectives. • Must have strong writing and communication skills. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : • Design and development of online and virtual and/or instructor-led learning programs that align with Global Learning and Development strategy. Work with e-learning development tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Camtasia, Vyond, and Adobe Creative Cloud. • Update existing training content as needed. • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and Global Learning & Development team. • Write effective copy, instructional text, audio, video, and animation scripts. • Perform all other work-related duties as may be assigned. OTHER DUTIES : • Attend department meetings. • Upload Test Courses in LMS. • Provide input on department processes and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: • Masters in Instructional Design preferred. • Minimum of bachelor's degree in instructional design, distance learning, adult education, educational technology or a related field. • 1-5 years of Learning and Development experience in a Medical Device company designing complex, instructionally sound training programs using instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles for multiple delivery methods is required -- (Instructor-Led (classroom), virtual classroom, eLearning, Social/Mobile Learning, micro-learning, video-based learning). • Must be proficient in Articulate 360. • Experience writing technical or medical content preferred. • Must be able to work closely with a team and also manage projects independently from analysis through evaluation. • Strong attention to detail is necessary. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
