Job Title: Course Developer – BSI Assurance Academy Location: Hybrid Based / Milton Keynes Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Mon – Fri Salary: £On Application + Bonus + Excellent Benefits We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Course Developer, within BSI’s Assurance Academy who will be responsible for creating high-quality training products within BSI’s Global Assurance stream We are seeking an experienced eLearning developer to design and develop high-quality eLearning courses that meet the organization's learning objectives and engage learners. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in instructional design, eLearning development tools, and project management, as well as experience in developing a variety of eLearning courses, including simulations, videos, and interactive scenarios. Knowledge of learning platforms (learning management systems) and mobile learning technologies is highly desired. You will ensure... that development projects are completed on time by project managing SMEs closely in conjunction with an instructional designer. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Ensure that content is well structured, engaging, interactive, and pitched at the appropriate level Ensure that the training development processes and guidelines are followed Develop engaging and interactive eLearning courses, assessments, activities, and simulations that incorporate multimedia, instructional design principles, and adult learning strategies Work closely with instructional designers Use practical examples, case studies, and scenarios to effectively achieve learning outcomes Ensure the courses are responsive and accessible to all learners, including those with disabilities When required quality check the work of others, for quality and consistency Manage multiple eLearning development projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and communicate progress to stakeholders Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies related to eLearning development and instructional design Recommend new course design solutions, development methods, and delivery styles Knowledge / Skills / Abilities 3+ years of experience in eLearning development, including experience in developing interactive simulations, videos, and scenarios Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or a related field Knowledge and understanding of Instructional Design concepts (such as ADDIE) Knowledge and understanding of Learning Methodologies (such as Accelerated Learning) Strong knowledge of eLearning development tools, such as Articulate Storyline (essential), Adobe Captivate, and similar authoring tools Exceptional use of MS Office, specifically: PowerPoint and Word Experience with Adobe suites such as Photoshop would be a major advantage Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Exceptional written skills, including strong use of grammar and writing styles High diligence, including formatting, editing, and proofreading Understand concepts quickly and accurately Ability to troubleshoot course design and development problems Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders Instructional design models Lesson and curriculum planning Storyboarding Writing instructional text and audio scripts/video scripts.
